I had a major operation at the end of June for Ovarian Cancer.
I was on Prescott Ward for 8 nights. I had very good care from all but 2 of the nurses.
Even their omissions fade into the background when I think of how thorough my care was.
Pain relief was given promptly. I also had a post operative epidural for a few days.
I was helped to have a wash & move in the bed during the first few days. I had a ripple mattress to guard against skin problems. The nurses & HCA's were so cheery & helpful. It was a pleasure to see them. Bells were answered promptly. The food was tasty & varied.
The medical staff (Surgical Oncology Consultants) were kind & involved me in all decisions.
The Physiotherapist was positive & encouraging.
I feel very fortunate. I know the Surgery saved my life, along with pre & post op chemotherapy. How can I ever thank them...
