"Good hospital but major problem with telephone..."

About: Central Middlesex Hospital

Okay so this is by far a good hospital and the doctors/nurses are very good.

However they do not answer telephone calls.

I've actually been in waiting areas and observed the receptionists actually picking up and dropping the receiver.

For me, I have tried to phone their booking line to confirm an appointment and spent 3 days doing so and just gave up in the end.

Phone was never answered and it constantly was dropped.

I missed the appointment and they wrote to me and I wrote back explaining the situation.

Sad really as the telephone service (or lack thereof) really lets what is otherwise a good hospital down bigtime.

I was saddened to learn of your experience and apologise for the poor level of service you have received.

Please contact our PALS team by telephone on 0208 869 5118 or by email at LNWH-tr.PALS@nhs.net and we will be able to investigate this further.

Kind regards
