"Disappointing as usual"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital

I never, ever see the same consultant, doctor, registrar twice so my notes are always incorrect, the latest letter has inconsistences, gaps in what was said in the consultation and facts that are blatantly incorrect, had I seen the same Doctor these mistakes would not happen as they would actually know me and my illness. They happen every time and I am fed up to the back teeth with it.

Every single time I see a different registrar, it is a complete waste of time for all concerned. At my next 6 monthly appointment I am simply going to say nothing at all and then leave just to be kept on the books for my usual blood tests and procedures for my chronic illness.

What is the point in answering questions or having a conversation with a doctor if the points are ignored or written down incorrectly. Aside from anything else it could be dangerous. It is even worse with GPs so I never go there.

The main problem with Addenbrokes (and indeed the entire medical profession) is the widespread "i'm a doctor don't you know" syndrome, I absolutely dread my appointments but I am forced to go as I have a chronic illness but it is always a waste of time and very stressful. A&E by comparison is fantastic at this hospital.
