About: Darlington Memorial Hospital / Accident and emergency

My husband arrived by ambulance with chest pain and respiratory problems/asthma. He was assessed within 30 minutes and saw a doctor 10 minutes later. Soon after he had been x-rayed and within another 30 minutes he had been seen again by the doctor and discharged with antibiotics for his chest infection.

Total time in the hospital was only 130 milnutes. Doctor and nurses were exceptional - friendly, efficient and highly competent. At all stages we were kept informed and reassured. We were filled with confidence and very grateful for such wonderful care.
