I just wanted to express my appreciation to all the staff in the ENT Department, the High Dependency Unit in the ITU Department and Pulteney Ward for the excellent care I received recently. The nursing staff could not have been more helpful and respectful, not only to me, but as I noticed to all of the other patients. I only know the name of the nurse who was responsible for my care in the High Dependency Unit, but both this nurse and the nurses on Pulteney Ward, as well as the ENT Department, cannot be praised enough for the work they do and in particular for the care I received. The 2 consultants can only be held in the highest regard for the care and attention they gave me and the way they treated me, not only as a patient but as a person. My wife was so impressed with the length of time that the consultant who performed the surgery on me spoke to her on the phone following my operation to explain what had been involved, and their courteous manner and that of the other consultant shows that your hospital and the NHS is in the best possible hands. I have passed thank you cards for all of the staff in the 3 departments over to a member of staff in the ENT department to pass on to the staff involved, but felt I should also email you to express my sincere thanks to everyone involved in my care.
