"Being wrongfully invoiced for services"

About: Huddersfield Hospital

(as a service user),

IN another episode with the BMI, although I have a package deal for my surgery which includes the revision surgery coming up, the BMI have yet again invoiced me for services which are free under the package deal. On every occasion when there has been an prescription issued or tests undertaken, although they are covered by the package deal, I am invoiced yet again. This leads to long telephone calls, being passed from pillar to post as the staff in the BMI accounting office are not aware, or fail to grasp that I have a package deal.

I am now waiting, yet again for someone from the accounting office to contact the hospital to check If I am telling the truth.

I believe this is an appalling way to run a hospital throwing the onus on the patient to direct the accounting office back to the hospital. Is it beyond the competence of the hospital to check the patient's records - if that is where the information lies - before informing the accounting office that the patient has had treatment which needs invoicing when that is not the case. A package deal is a package deal and even after I had informed one person in the accounting office that it was not to be invoiced as it was part of the package deal, they offered to put it on my BMI card! If this had just been a one off occurrence I could have glossed over it but this has now happened repeatedly without fail.
