"Let down by off hand PHARMACY STAFF"

About: Central Middlesex Hospital

I recently had a operation at this hospital and was pleased with it. The staff were friendly and the hospital is pleasant. So I felt disappointed at the attitude of the staff in the Pharmacy who were off hand, condescending and rude to me this morning.

I asked a friend who frequently goes to this pharmacy and she confirmed that my bad impression wasn't just one off day, but that the staff were surly.

I hope this feedback gets back to them, and that they improve their attitude.

Dear Ms Sutherland

Thank you for letting us know of your experience following your recent surgery at Central Middlesex Hospital. I was pleased first of all to learn that the surgery went well and that you found the staff on the ward to be pleasant.

I was sorry however to hear that the same could not be said for the staff you encountered in the pharmacy department. There is of course no place for rudeness towards patients and please be assured that the General Manager for pharmacy will immediately be made aware of your concerns that took place this morning.

Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and I am sorry once again that your impression of our staff was spoiled at the end.

Kind regards

Peter Hare

Patient Liaison Manager
