"Spencer Ward"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute)

I was a medical patient put onto a gynae post op ward. Needless to say, I was given very little attention by the staff as their main priority was to the post op patients. Clearly mixing medical patients with post op patients doesn't work and this practice should be stopped.

We are experiencing a high level of demand for medical beds and regrettably this does mean that sometimes medical patients have to be cared for on non-medical wards.

We are sorry this was your experience.

Please be assured that we are doing all we can to ensure that patients are cared for in the most appropriate location.
