"Knee replacement"

My experience at the orthopaedic unit was exceptional. From start to finish I was treated with respect. I was obviously nervous about what was going to happen and especially worried about the anesthetic having previously had a bad experience. The anesthetics team reassured me and managed with one attempt what my previous experience failed to manage with three attempts. They were first rate. The surgical team were also great, pointing out all the possible outcomes and coming to see me as soon as possible to let me know how the operation had gone. Then to the ward were the nursing staff were most considerate and attentive, then the occupational therapy department were on the ball making sure that I had any equipment that I may near on my return home. Finally the physio therapists were very quick to get me up and about to ensure I was able to get home as soon as possible..

The surgeon's team and all the other staff I came into contact with at Wansbeck hospital were first rate, I could not fault them in any way. This was definitely the best "hospital" experience I have ever had and would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to anyone.
