"Ward 18 is outstanding"

My elderly mum was very ill recently and spent two months on Ward 18.

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and the care they gave her.

ALL the staff from domestics and administrators to the care assistants and nurses, Ward Manager and Doctors were truly amazing and there are no adequate words to thank them for their dedication, kindness and the way they looked after my mum.

The discharge team were also fantastic and the Social Worker in particular was so kind and supportive.

The NHS isn't perfect but neither are the people that use it.

We are so grateful for our NHS and our recent experience just proves that it is the staff on the ground that make it work.

I hope this feedback gets back to them because they deserve to know just how much they are appreciated.
