"Treatment for perforated appendix"

About: Hereford County Hospital

I was admitted via ambulance on Sunday 6th August, where I was quickly diagnosed with Appendicitis.

I was transferred overnight to the day case unit where I received excellent care.

I had a laparoscopic appendectomy (converted to open) on Monday morning by a Consultant and their team, after which I was transferred to Monnow ward.

The care I received in Monnow ward was second to none.

I had temporary ileus following surgery which delayed my recovery, but the kindness and care shown to me ( and my family) was very much appreciated.

We are lucky to have such a hospital, and staff in Hereford.
