"Excellent 3 week stay"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Accident and emergency

We had no experience of QE hospital until my 93 year old Mum was admitted by ambulance as an emergency following a serious fall. We are so impressed with the Care she received in the 3 weeks she was on Elm Ward. The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble. We loved the fact that the staff were all so hands on unlike other hospitals where they all congregate around a nurses station. Mum was treated with respect and kindness, she was well fed and cared for. The food was always really good and served hot.

We would also like to thank the staff on the Medical Assessment Unit on the night she arrived as they were very good too.

A big thank you to everybody.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments about your elderly mother’s recent stay in hospital. It is good to hear that your experience throughout her three week stay was so positive and I am glad that staff were attentive and supportive. Falls are very distressing for older people and I hope that your mother has now made a good recovery and regained her confidence. I will share your kind comments with all the teams involved plus the catering staff.
