I had a really bad experience in maternity unit at PAH.

Shame and disgrace how absolutely incompetent people can ruin your first experience of becoming a mother. It's unforgivable. Only few members of stuff were good but the the overall service and management were disgusting.

Thankfully pediatric team looked well after my baby.

I was happy to be finally discharged home.

Thank you for your comment. It is appreciated as we can only improve when we get feedback and information from patients and families.

We fully realise that we don't always get right. I have shared your concerns with the team who lead Maternity Services and they were deeply disappointed that this had been your experience. You are absolutely right that it is not acceptable if people are not competent or the management of your birth experience is poor. We would really like to meet you, to apologise and understand why this has happened, but also to prevent a recurrence. We are genuinely sorry this is what you experienced and are absolutely determined to put things right.
