"Can't treat a verruca."

I phoned to ask if the centre was an appropriate place to have a verruca treated. I was told the were not able to treat verrucas!

Really?!

Chemists sell kits for home treatment and doctors can't use them?

(the verruca is on the bottom of my foot and I can't see it or reach it to treat it myself and it is extremely painful to walk)
