"Wonderful Health Centre"

I have been a patient of Okehampton medical centre for 32 years.Obviously I have seen many changes over this time, right through from buildings to staff. The medical centre has grown considerably. From a personal experience the changes that have been made over the years have been thought through very carefully and the practice has in my opinion continued to provide an excellent service to its patients.

Our first G.P. we had for over 20 years who was fantastic.

Our next G.P. was very caring and a good listener.

There were a few occasions when I had to see a doctor on the same day. That service was amazing. I never took advantage  of those appointments they were rare and I would  always try to speak to a doctor on the phone first and would only come in on the same day if recommended too by them. One of the Doctors I saw on one of my appointments was very knowledgeable and had a very caring nature and certainly  knew their stuff. A real asset to the practice.

The dispensary service for medication  is excellent, run by a truly professional group of individuals. So useful being able to have medication dispensed on the same premises after appointment.

In July we moved to Exeter. One of the main things I am going to miss is the excellent  care from the medical centre.

Okehampton  should be very proud of their Health Centre.
