"Wifi?"

About: Moseley Hall Hospital

Would it be possible please to provide WiFi for patients in ward 9? It is now such an important part of normal life to have internet access that it would be great to have such access - even at cost - made available. This request is even more pressing given the very poor phone signal reception available making communication with loved ones difficult at best and often impossible which is very distressing. There are no negatives associated with such a request and rules can be imposed if necessary to ensure proper usage.

Thank you for your feedback.

We do fully recognise and understand the importance of internet access for patients, and have plans in place to install patient access wifi during 2018.

Unfortunately the part of Moseley Hall Hospital where Ward 9 is situated has a poor mobile signal which can mean that some patients (depending on their provider) are unable to use their own personal internet connections.

This creates an extra frustration for patients who wish to access the internet for communication, information and entertainment.

Whilst I appreciate that the timescales for our plans do not help you at the moment, I hope you can see that the Trust is working towards resolving the situation for patients in the future.

Thank you again for contacting us with your concerns.

Kind regards
