"Lovely environment and staff"

About: Derriford Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I fractured my ankle whilst on holiday in Cornwall in the middle of August 2017 and visited Derriford Fracture Clinic for assessment of my injury after two separate visits to Minor Injury units in the days beforehand. I arrived half an hour early and I was seen within 10 minutes. The reception staff, nurses, consultant and physiotherapist I saw whilst I was there were all pleasant, obliging, helpful, caring and respectful. My 15 year old daughter who accompanied me got a little upset when they suggested I might need an operation and the nurse was lovely to her. They didn't rush and the department was a stress-free place to be.

Thank you for the experience.
