"Admin was inefficient and then blamed me"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Ophthalmology

I can't rememeber the date l but I received an ansafone message saying that I had missed an appointment for a biopsy that day.

I duly rang back and told an employee that i had had had no notification about the appointment.

They said they would make another appointment so I informed them of the dates when I would be away from home the following week.

I then received a letter form the Trust informing me of a further appointment which unfortunately was within the days that I had said I couldn't make it. I rang and asked for another appointment.

Then i received another appointment which fell within the days when I had indicated that I would be away from Exeter.

So, admin had made three mistakes which I put down to pressure of work.

However, I then received a rather nasty message on my ansafone sating that i had missed three appointments but I would be given one more chance. I was furious because they had messed up and then blamed me.

I have no complaints about the clinical staff. They are wonderful but the admin staff need some training.
