I feel I need to write a review regarding my visit to the endoscopy unit today. I was referred for a gastroscopy a couple of weeks ago and since that day I have been a bundle of nerves with worry. When I arrived today from start to finish I cannot thank the wonderful staff enough. I had worked myself up to a frenzy and was absolutely terrified! The thought of having a camera down my throat completely freaked me out! There was absolutely no need at all. Everyone was so lovely and caring, so kind and considerate. The apprehension sure is worse than the procedure itself. I had sedation and can honestly say I didn't feel a thing and the next thing I knew I was waking up in recovery. The endoscopist and his team were so lovely to me, I just want to thank them so much. I hope this review helps others who may also be dreading the procedure, there really is no need to. Thank you everyone, what a wonderful team you are.
