"Stroud MIU"

About: Stroud General Hospital

After being refused a GP appointment at my own surgery, and telling the pain I was in. I attended MIU in Stroud at this stage i on a scale of 1-10 I was at an 8.

I was seen in triage with 5 mins of being there. Then in approximately another 5 mins I was greeted by a member pd staff who was polite and very kind they explained they could not x Ray me as no trauma ha s taken place, they explained they could not give me any more pain relief as I had already taken my maximum amount. How ever they did say they would get an appointment for me with my GP I explained to them that I had already been refused an appointment for today. They called my GP surgery and just like magic they got me an appointment, they went on to say the only person that could request an x Ray would be the GP.

I attended my appointment GP requested an X ray, and also prescribed stronger pain relief.

This member of staff was the best, just a shame I had to choose this route.

Thank you very much, much appreciated a ?? start nurse. ??
