My husband was admitted via A&E last week.
Neither of us has any complaint at all regarding his care both in A&E and throughout his stay.
The evening following his operation he was moved from Barnwell C to Ashton.
He phoned to let me know and said the staff recommended I should park 'at the bottom'.
Having consulted the website I could not see any map to show me where to find Ashton but I did discover that visiting was 2.30-3.30 and 7.30-8.30.
On driving in 'at the bottom' I could only see staff parking and no signs telling me where to go for Ashton Ward.
It was 7pm.
I abandoned the car and began to walk and eventually found the door next to the Treatment Centre.
An uphill walk and I have bronchiectasis!
But the most distressing thing was discovering that visiting was actually from 1.30 - 8.30 and I could have spent far more time with my husband who was alone in a side ward.
A website is only any good if it is accurate.
Incorrect information should be taken down as soon as it becomes incorrect.
I wished afterwards that I had taken the easy way and telephoned for visiting information.
I thought I was saving your admin staff some time by looking for myself.
I shan't make that mistake again!
"Care good. Website appalling"
