"Visit to accident and emergency"

About: Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital / Accident and emergency

I had to attend the A and E on Wednesday the 13 SEP 2017. I arrived at approx 8am, there was obviously some problem as there was alarms going off all over the hospital, however this didn't prevent me being received at the reception with politeness and efficiency.l was seen by the triage nurse in about 5 mins and was given an x-ray in roughly 20-30 mins and this would have been done faster had it not been for the alarms, they had to wait for them to stop.l was then seen by a ward nurse( I'm afraid I don't know their proper title ) my injury was discussed with me and then subsequently I was given excellent treatment and after care advice.

I would like to say thank you to all the staff that dealt with me and feel that some of the general public are very quick to complain if they have a bad experience but not quick enough to say if they've had a good experience. We are very lucky to have a good NHS and all the staff work under an awful lot of pressure.Once again thank you!

We are pleased to hear you had a quick and efficient service, despite the alarms going off.

Thank you very much for your kind comments, we will ensure they get to the staff in the A&E team.

We hope you have made a good recovery.
