"I had camera into stomach in gastroscopy uni"

About: Heartlands Hospital

I had camera into my stomach in makeshift gastropocy unit at heartlands hospital in b9 Birmingham

Unit set up in car park to deal with demand

I was petrified to have procedure done but everyone involved from receptionist to nurses and head nurses were exceptional

The procedure was horrific as I'm a really baby with anything to do with hospitals but they made the experience bareable I can't thank them enough

I admire all of them for the job they do

Massive respect

Dear Jonny,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your procedure, which took place in the Vanguard Unit at Heartlands Hospital.

I am pleased to read that you felt that all of the staff were exceptional; especially as I appreciate that you were petrified of having the procedure done.

It will be my pleasure to forward your posting to the Senior Management Team for the Vanguard Unit.

I will ask that the posting is shared with the staff, as I am sure they will be delighted to read your positive comments and how they made the procedure bearable for you.

I do hope that you have recovered well following your procedure.

Once again, thank you for your posting, as patient feedback is very important to us.

Best wishes

Jenny Langham

Patient Services Officer
