"A&E over bank holiday weekend"

I was taken to Northampton A&E on the Sunday evening of bank holiday weekend with severe chest and stomach pains. I was seen promptly and given painkillers and basic checks. Over the next few hours I had X-rays, ultra-sound checks by the duty consultant (who said they are not available at weekends?), blood tests and all the other necessary tests and drugs.

At all times my wife and I were kept informed, treated very well and with respect and it was clear that all the staff are committed to what they are doing.

I could not fault any aspect of my treatment. Thank you to all the staff
