"I have pain in my full body every day"

(as a service user),

I have scoliosis, my full body is out of line my rib cage is higher at one side than the other I have pain in my full body every day my chest hurts sometimes I find it hard to breath.

The problem is my GP at Peel Street has said no you do not have Scoliosis. I have seen many physiotherapists for pains in my knees and hips and spin and throughout both my pregnancies my physios have said I most certainly do have scoliosis.

I have two children and my pain is so unbearable, I am prescribed co-codamol and anti depression meds and that is all the help my GP will give me. I feel this surgery is failing me.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Care Opinion.

I am sorry to read that your pain is unbearable and the impact that this is having on you.

As GP's are independent contractors, can I suggest that you contact the Practice Manager to discuss your concerns, and to ask for a second opinion.

There is also the Patient Advice and Support Service (PASS). This is an independent organisation which provides a completely free service to support patients, their carers and families to raise awareness of their rights and responsibilities when using NHS services. You can contact the Patient Advice and Support Service on 0800 917 2127, or through your local Citizen’s Advice Bureau. This is the link to the website: http://www.cas.org.uk/pass
