Me and my partner received great support and friendly advice throughout the whole pregnancy, labour and after care. When my partner went into labour we were initially admitted to the labour ward as the birth centre was full. Whilst we where there we were offered pain relief a bit too often and readily in my opinion but my partner resisted and never-the-less we were still cared for to a high standard. Eventually to our delight, one of the lovely birth centre members of staff came to collect us to take us up to the birth centre for the rest of the labour and delivery of our child. There we were looked after extremely well, we couldn't fault the staff at all. Being our first child we were ignorant to the whole process and it was such a help and relief to have competent and caring midwives to support and guide us through to the end. The after care was also really decent with midwives always available to aid us in the first ours of parenthood. The private room was clean and modern with a comfy double bed for us both to stay and a crib for the baby. The following day health checks were performed on the baby while a BCG and Vitamin K were administered before we were given the all clear to go home. Overall the experience me and my partner had at the QCCH birth centre was amazing and we would definitely return and recommend to anyone
"Competent and reassuring service from QCCH..."
