The hospital have a poor communication system as you can spend 30 to 40 minutes trying to get through to the departments. Tower 7 is awful for this. When you speak to the nurses for updates in results they have nothing in their notes. My father was admitted on August 28th into A and E then transferred to AMU followed by a transfer to the deathly quiet........ ward 7. His bifocal glasses worth £170 are lost between A M U and the nurses do not follow up and find out about these things.
The doctors repeat tests carried out in other hospitals and there is no communication between hospitals; what a waste of money! There is no radio or television for my father as the TV is broken and the nurses just say it is not there area/ problem. My father just looks out of the window. This does not promote cognitive welbeing and stimulate elderly people's minds. Finally the going home process- a complete joke! The nurses and adult serves to not communicate. My father will not get any better but vegetated in a hospital bed due to terrible communication. I feel very sad for my father and I'm sure it is detrimental to his health. If possible don't go to this hospital.
