"Total Knee Replacement"

About: Wansbeck Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I was admitted on 18 June 2017 for total knee replacement. Care, both pre and post operation was excellent. I was discharged after 24 hours with all necessary equipment and good analgesia. The ice cuff was a godsend and for me, preferable to lots of tablets for pain relief. I set myself a goal of being able to walk at least 4 miles . Something I have not been able to do for over a year. Today, 12 weeks post op I achieved my goal. Many thanks to all who contributed to my care..

Dear Sir/Madam,

Wow, this is a fantastic achievement and you should certainly be proud of how far you have come. I will pass your comments over to our orthopaedics team who will also be overjoyed for you. Here's to many more miles to come!

All the very best,

Jan
