I was admitted to Forth Valley Hospital for a couple of days with violent headaches and sickness. I kept telling nurses and doctors I thought I had a urine infection.
I felt that all they were interested in was the cause of the headache and told me to see GP when I got home about urine infection. They refused to test for UTI. I suffered same symptoms on and off for 2 months until UTI was treated.
Also unsuccessful attempt at lumbar puncture and being asked to sit up straight after caused a lot of discomfort. A different doctor next day was quick painless and successful.
However if they had listened to my symptoms and tested for UTI scan and lumbar puncture would not have been necessary
"Not very helpful hospital stay"
