I'm pregnant and in terrible pain around the lower lumbar area, and with excessive pressure around the pelvis. I spoke to the MOT clinic about it 3-4 weeks ago and was advised to phone the maternity physiotherapy number.
I called a few times and it either rings out or goes straight to voicemail with a message advising "do not leave a message, this is for text phone messages only". I've texted 3 times now and I've made the MOT clinic aware of the radio silence.
I've not even had an acknowledgement for any of the texts. It's getting so bad that some days I can barely walk and the pain is excruciating. Given I flagged that I have an implant in my spine when I found out I was pregnant, I would have hoped for more support than this. I'm now having to contact Ross Hall hospital and use my Bupa, which seems unnecessary and is inconvenient given the length of time it will take to drive there each time I need a physio session.
I have quite a lot to say about Wishaw General given my Mum had been in there for four weeks. Didn't expect to be complaining about the maternity side. During a time where you're already anxious about changes to your body and what's to come, this physio department has been remiss in their duty of care.
