"My Mother in Law has stage 4 terminal lung cancer"

About: Queen's Hospital (Romford)

My Mother in Law was sadly diagnosed with Lung Cancer in June 2017. Without going into details the GP certainly didn't cover themselves in glory, in fact the Cancer was only discovered by luck, if that is the right word.

However since he has been passed into the care of the Cancer Team firstly at King George's then onto Queens. The care, consideration, understanding and quietlly efficient service she has received has been truely outstanding. From everyone from the Senior Consultants down to the cleaners and auxiliary staff pretty much everyone has been lovely.

Sadly my Mother in Law in actually in Mandarin B ward with complications as I write this piece. Everyone that we have dealt with have been great. They can't change the diagnosis sadly but they are doing everything they can to help her and make her comfortable.

We can only hope this 5* service continues for the time that my Mother in Law has left with us.

Thank you everyone involved in the Queens Cancer Team

Thank you for taking the time to make us aware of your mother in law's experience at what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. I am so pleased to hear that the care being provided to her by the staff is outstanding. I will pass on your feedback to all of the staff so that they are aware what a difference they are making. Thank you once again for taking the time to make us aware.

Kind Regards

Sarah Dunton
