I went to the walk in centre last night after falling over on the street the previous day. After 15 min, the nurse took some details and saw the wound I had on my knee. They said they were concerned because it looked really bad and to their mind it was definetely infected , they even suggested taking a painkiller as I was struggling to walk and it was very painful. The nurse said the waiting list was so long,so I had no choice other than waiting in the waiting room for two hours and a half. After that , a nurse took me to a room and asked me to remove my jeans and show them the wound. there was still loads of pus coming out as well as some blood and it was extremely painful removing my jeans . All they said was 'this is not infected ' and put a plaster on it and sent me home. So they made me wait for two hours and a half only to put s plaster on it that I could have put myself at home.
The pain is more and more intense and there's still pus coming out. . I found this walking centre extremely unhelpful , will not come here again .
