It has been a harrowing 7 weeks. At the age of 92 it is always more traumatic. I started in AAU level 3 with a mixed experience of care and left to go to Potters Bar rehab which I will not mention but then came back yesterday to A and E and after 8 hours there I am now in Blue ward on the ground floor. A great team included a student nurse and two nurses.
As soon as my daughter arrived she was told about my condition and what the tests had identifed as the cause of the problem. Team members came promptly to help me with ablutions etc and were chatty treating me with respect and most importantly care. It is always difficult to ask for help and as one gets older it gets more difficult as one does not want to interrupt staff as they are so busy but in this ward they were so kind.
thank you
"what a joy ground floor blue bed 35"
