Two months ago I visited UCLH my local hospital after I fell from steep steps. I arrived in a taxi at A&E unable to walk and was put in a wheelchair after checkin and being seen by a nurse, I was portered down to urgent care I waited some hours then saw the Dr explaining the fall and my injuries! My right foot was heavily swollen and bruised, so they requested an X-ray, sadly this X-ray did not identify a brake/fracture! I was sent away by the dr at A&E with crutches and told it was a bad sprain and to ice it and rest and get Physio ! Sadly two months down the line the foot/ankle wasn't improving so I went back to my GP requesting an MRI scan which showed a fracture to the anterior process of the calcaneous as well as some other issues! What should of been a six week injury and has now turned into four months and I'm now having to wear a special boot. This really should've been picked up by the Dr at A&E, why did they fail to diagnose me properly? Deeply saddened and dissapointed. I would like to make a formal complaint....
"Disappointing"
