Nearing the end of an enjoyable day visit to North Lincolnshire on Tuesday 6 September I found myself in need of A & E services as a result of a trip and subsequent fall as I made my way back to my car parked in Scunthorpe.
I found the experience at the hands of A & E staff, ambulance crew, doctor, nurses and porters to be reassuring and exceptional.
Their mix of professionalism, sensitivity and humour helped me to turn a traumatic experience into one of admiration and gratitude to the A & E team.
