"Good doctor, let down by rude nurse."

The doctor we saw was polite and caring.

So I've nothing but good things to say about them.

The first nurse we saw at A and E however, we found rude and condescending.

They didn't seem to listen and was keen to get rid of us.

They did have the time however, to raise their voice about the lack of funding to A and E, which we found unprofessional and inappropriate.

My mother is in her 70's and had been experiencing ill health, she didn't need to have someone shouting about politics and funding.

They also raised her voice that my mum might have missed taking her blood pressure tablets, which I found rude and unnecessary.

When we saw the doctor, they informed us that the first nurse had failed to fill in some information in the forms they passed to them, which took more of their time.

This isnt the first time I've encountered aggressive nurses at St Heliers, who seem to have ample energy in being rude but less energy for the job they are doing.

It takes less energy to be polite than it is to be rude, and perhaps the rising number of NHS complaints would lower if some NHS staff could desist in being uncivilized towards the people they are paid to serve.
