Amazing prompt emergency response from Stonehaven ambulance service. Both ambulance men provided dignified, respectful and professional care to my unconscious mum. Their wonderful manner helped to reassure me and keep me calm and informed about what was happening as we journeyed through rush hour traffic from Stonehaven to Aberdeen. Thanks for trying so hard with mum.
A&E staff kept us fully informed of who was with mum and what tests were being carried out on mum. I was impressed with the compassion and professionalism shown by all staff from the receptionist, a different ambulance driver who showed me to the relatives room, the charge nurse and other staff.
Mum was quickly transferred to intensive care where she received the best care and attention from the nurses and doctors. The whole family were compassionately cared for throughout the 48hours mum was there despite a very busy department. Two nurses were allocated for day/night duty to work with mum and we would commend them for the first class care they provided mum and our family.
Transplant services were warm, caring and respectful. They ensured we were fully informed throughout all stages of the donation process though sadly they had to stand down due to medical circumstances.
The nurses ensured our mum had a very dignified death. This has helped our family immensely with the grieving process to know that in the tragic circumstances, mum was treated with the highest standards of care and respect.
The care and professionalism demonstrated by all staff is to be commended and as a family we thank you all most sincerely.
"Mum was treated with the highest standards of care."
