I have been a patient of Old Aberdeen Medical Practice for several years, beginning as a student, and am now moving away to a new venture. I could not have felt more cared for and supported over the last 8 years. The staff are worth their weight in gold - all staff. Dr McCann in particular is absolutely wonderful, but I have had contact with most if not all permanent staff and never have had cause to complain.

My life circumstances meant my journey as a student was at times challenging and I needed a lot of help to keep going but the practice were able to refer me on for appropriate and timely mental health support. When I developed physical health issues Dr McCann persevered with investigating and finding solutions that I was comfortable with.

I have thanked the surgery and Dr McCann myself but wanted management to know too what a fantastic job they do. Teamwork, communication, professionalism, care and friendliness .. they get it all spot on.

Thank you for posting your story on Care Opinion. It is lovely to hear how well supported and cared for you have felt during your time as a patient with Old Aberdeen Medical Practice.

Being a student can be a stressful time without the challenges you have mentioned and I’m glad Dr McCann took the time to listen to you when you needed it most.
