I would like to thank the staff manning the Opat unit for their help and encouragement given over my last two sessions of Intravenous injections of Antibiotics. They were always cheerful and obliging and prepared to switch timings when other appointments came in my calendar. Also thanks to the Nurses on Ward 42 at the weekends for providing the service in amongst their other work and their help to me when I had a urological problem. One negative to the service is the very small room that is used, which gives you no privacy and no proper screens to put round when having examinations and being unable to have a "private conversation", plus the chairs used are so low to the ground it can be hard to sit down. Having used another hospital on one occasion they had reclining chairs which were far more comfortable and relaxing while having your drip injection.
"Cheerful helpful staff"
