I want to express my admiration and appreciation of the team of international stars I was cared for during a recent stay at Loddon ward in Royal Berkshire Hospital. The professionalism, care, and compassion, to me and as I observed all other patients, is a great tribute to each of their professions and individual character and this engendered my trust, confidence and comfort.
It reflects very well on the culture of the hospital and Trust and must be acknowledged to the leadership team.
I was struck by the many different nations from which staff came and that international flavour was wonderful to behold. I think in all I was treated by people from at least 12 different nationalities. At the end of the day it was not the national background that really matters but as I have said the professionalism and humanity of the staff and service at all levels and grades needs to be acknowledged and celebrated.
From the point of contacting the NHS 111, ambulance service, GP and the hospital and its staff I was very impressed by the quality of care.
"A team of caring and compassionate..."
