After discussions between myself and my GP, it was agree that he should refer me to Kirkcaldy Victoria Hospital to have a duodenal bioscopy performed. Upon my arrival I had what was going to take place explained thoroughly by a lady who had, obviously, met many patients and put you at ease immediately; arranged to have Mr. S. Yalamarthi the Consultant Surgeon to discuss a couple of queries I had in my mind. Shortly after the procedure commenced and yes, there was a degree of discomfort, occasionally but both the cosultant and the two ladies who attended were at pains to ensure I was happy with things and after they finished I was taken to another ward to get dressed and was given tea, toast and a biscuit and the ladies they were all efficient and most professional in their duties and overall I was looked after more than well and I thank them all and commend them fully.
