This centre is easy to get to and is well appointed and clean.

Communication between staff and waiting patients.

I visited this centre as an outpatient as requested and arrived in good time for my appointment. After leaving my details at reception I was directed to the waiting area. After about ten minutes a member of staff showed me into a corridor outside the consulting rooms. After another thirty minute wait, during which time my consultant appeared several times in the corridor, I asked the member of staff if they new how much longer I might have to wait. The nurse then calmly informed that my consultant had gone to lunch. When asked if they new how long the consultant would be the nurse just said they didn`t know. With that I decided to leave as I wasn`t prepared to wait for an indeterminate amount of time for a consultant who had already kept me waiting for forty minutes past my appointment. If the centre had been very busy I would have understood, but the fact is this was a saturday and there was only one other patient waiting. I am upset by the lack of respect shown to me and the poor attitude of the consultant who couldn`t be bothered to even ask the nursing staff to let me know what was happening.
