"emergency hernia operation"

About: James Paget University Hospital / General surgery

I was taken to hospital by ambulance on Thursday 20th July for emergency surgery,

Before my operation It was fully explained what was going to happen during the operation also what could go wrong.

I had a really fantastic caring surgeon do my operation, who called in many times during my stay to see how I was getting on, and was quick to sort out any small problems I had.

I was in James Paget for 9 days on ward 4 and.I could not fault the way I was treated by everyone. the food was good, ward 4 was on was kept spotless, and my dignity was respected at all times.

James Paget is not my local hospital as I was on holiday when I was taken ill. but I would most highly recommend it above my local hospital and would be happy to there again if it became nrcessary.

Thanks Julie for taking the time to comment on your care. Such a shame you were taken ill while you were away on holiday but really glad that our staff were able to care for you in the way that you wanted. I will pass on your comments and hope you are recovered now and back home. Take care.
