About: Furness General Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I had knee replacement in your elective orthopaedic department so got a private room with en-suite bathroom.

The surgery was done by the surgeon I wanted on a mutually agreed date to avoid a pre-booked holiday.

The knee works very well & I only had to spend 3 nights in hospital.

But best of all was the wonderful nursing care.

I suffered a bereavement on the day my surgery was performed & the nursing staff, especially my dedicated post surgery nurse couldn't have been more caring, compassionate & helpful.

They went far beyond the call of duty & I can't thank everyone involved enough.
