"long wait for follow-up appointments"

Unfortunately I have been admitted as an emergency patient twice recently - May for pneumonia, July with severe back pain.

Both times the standard of care was absolutely brilliant - how the nurses keep going with the amount of pressure they're under I do not know !!

However, I believe this hospital's problems are due to a lack of communication and organisation from management and below, which seemed to be the opinion of staff including cleaners to highly qualified professionals.

Anyway, the main purpose of my ranting is just to express my anger with follow-up appointments. After receiving exceptional care whilst an in-patient, my '6 week follow-up appointment' for pneumonia has, once again, been cancelled and re-scheduled for October !!! - I was discharged in May !!! .

Almost impossible to speak to a human being on the phone, so I just have to accept that they are very busy.
