I am in my 70s. In 1996 I had double bypass surgery, which was successful, at Bristol Royal Infirmary under Mr. Bryan surgeon. In February this year I suffered angina pains which led to my attending the Cardiac day unit at Musgrove park Hospital. I underwent an angiogram, Followed by rotablation and angioplasty. From pre-op to post procedure recovery I was treated with professionalism, respect, care and reassurance. In particular the time spent at pre-op assessment in discussing procedures, answering my questions, putting anxieties to rest and reassurance worked wonders. as a result I was able to go through the procedures with absolute confidence and without sedation! the professional skills of Dr. Burchell and Beacock, Sister Diana, Nurses Kathleen, Grace, Davindra, Terry, Andreas, members at cardiology dept, cardiac day unit, cardiac booking team, reception and background team in theatre have my utmost respect and sincerest thanks. I am so fortunate to be in the Musgrove Park Hospital catchment area.
