"The good thing about Kings Mill hospital..."

What I liked

The good thing about Kings Mill hospital is that it has been modernised and the areas I visited were clean.

What could be improved

My mother is currently in hospital waiting for treatment. She has been in since Monday and now it is Friday and no treatment plan has been put in place. She was admitted into A&E on Monday evening suffering with excrutiating pains in her stomach, after about 8 hours of waiting she was finally seen by a consultant. She is currently still yellow due to having an infection - not antibiotics have been given! She has been seen by several nurses doing their general observations. I now understand that she has to be transferred to another hospital for treatment that cannot be done at Kings Mill - What is this all about I ask myself. I visited yesterday and there were no staff on her ward and I was able to walk through the ward on my own - an ideal place for a conman to go an pinch old ladies bags!! The nurse that did her observations was totally miserable and should look for another job if nursing is that depressing! I'm disgusted in their care - Kings Mill Hospital sort yourself out!!

I would not recommend anyone to use this hospital!
