I injured my leg whilst walking in Chamonix; was airlifted to hospital; treated & flew home the next day.
That evening I attended A/E at Monklands & was referred to Wishaw where I was assessed & scheduled for surgery the next day.
During my "orthopaedic journey" I have been met many kind & dedicated staff.
Some I remember but many I was not able to to.
The ones I remember are:
Dr Kennedy in Monklands A/ E. Ms Bramley, Consultant in Orthopaedics. Dr Gibson Orthopaedics, Dr Xavier, Consultant in Anaesthesia - a very kind, reassuring man.
Robert ODP at Wishaw Day Surgery. Amy, Day Surgery Nurse.
Those whose names I do not remember include all the staff I came into Contact with at both Hospitals.
All the clerical & other out patients staff.
Orthopaedic Technicians.
The Paramedic who assisted me into Monklands A/E when he saw I was struggling down the hill.
Thank you to all of them.
