When admitted to Gade ward I was put in a side room. The previous patient's belongings were still in the locker & there was a paper bowl in the bathroom full of used tissues.
This made it obvious the room had not been cleaned properly. Whilst in hospital the staff worked really hard & tried their best to give the care required but they were clearly overworked. ON discharge a plan was out in place for follow-up appointments & tests. These were not arranged & I had to chase them up myself. I am still waiting to hear from cardiology about follow up tests!!!!
The communication & liaison between staff & departments is virtually non-existent leading to confusion over treatment & who's doing what.
