"Patience, compassion and professionalism"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

(as a parent/guardian),

My 16-year old was admitted on Saturday for what was suspected meningitis. Fortunately it turned out not to be that, but getting to the bottom of her symptoms was a challenge, but one the nurses and consultants set about with patience, compassion and professionalism. Everyone from the clinical professionals to the support staff were great with her. It made a huge difference to a stressful situation. Many thanks.

Hi tomc

I am sorry to read your child was so unwell and needed admission to hospital. What an awful time for you both especially worrying that Meningitis could be the cause. I'm so glad to read that this was not the case and I do hope they are fully recovered and feeling better. Thank you for taking the time to tell us the compassion and professionalism you and your loved one were shown made a difference, it is such a positive message to give back to all the teams involved.

Thanks again

Kerry
